1. IHG One Rewards Premier Card

Sign-up bonus: 175k IHG rewards points

Annual Fee: $99

Requirements: $5k in purchases on the card within 90 days of account opening

Earnings: 26 points per $1 spent on IHG properties (10x from card and 15x from status), 5 points on travel/dining/gas, 3 on all other purchases   

Annual benefit: One free 40k point per night stay that you can combine with points if the night is more expensive. For example, if a night cost 50k points you can use your certificate for 40k and then 10k points from your balance.

Other benefits: 20% discount when buying points, 4^th night free on stays of 4 nights or more, United Travel bank credit each 6 months (must register card here), platinum elite status which isn’t worth much although you get a small number of points or a gift each time you stay, and a Global Entry or TSA precheck fee credit.

IHG has a wide range of properties from fairly luxurious Intercontinental Hotels to some Holiday Inns that haven’t been updated since Reagen was president. 175k points will get you 3-4 nights in a decent $200-400 hotel. Usually you can get half a cent to .7 cents per IHG point. What makes this card worth keeping around is the 40k annual certificate. Its more versatile than other free night awards because it can be combined with points to get higher end hotels. Even at half a cent a point you get at least 2x the value per year by holding the card.

2. Frontier Mile Match Promotion
Frontier has a bizarre, but generous promotion where it is matching the points/miles balance you have in your account up to 5k points. Frontier miles are worth a bit over 1 cent each so this is an easy $50. If you have over 5k you get 5k, if you have less than 5k you get the mileage/points balance. Just go to the link above, enter your information and upload a screenshot that shows your mileage balance. The promotion ends when they have given away 70m miles, they currently have 2.5m miles left so act fast! Also Frontier allows you to have accounts for children. If they already have other rewards accounts with points, create a Frontier account for them and submit the screenshot for points. If you have silver status or above on Frontier you can pool family points for free.

The terms and conditions use language that make it sound like you are converting miles from the program you screenshot to Frontier. Multiple bloggers have confirmed that this is not the case, it is just a promotion where they match your balance. If you want to be extra careful find an account you don’t care much about and send that screenshot or send a screenshot without your account number.

3. Chase Hyatt card 5k point offer

Chase is emailing select Chase Hyatt card holders and offering them 5k points if they add an authorized user. Authorized users share the credit score consequences of the primary card holder. This can be a good way to build your young adult child’s credit or is an easy 5k points if you add your partner/spouse.

4. InKind Valentine’s Day and Survey

InKind is emailing out $25 off on $25-75 bills for Valentine’s day. They are also sending out surveys which take 2 minutes that give you a similar $25 off $25+ bills.
