  3. Hyatt Devaluation

1. IHG and Hyatt Point Sales

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Hyatt both currently have point sales. IHG has a sale where you can purchase points with up to a 100% bonus that results in purchasing points at 0.5 cents per point. Hyatt has a sale where you get a 20% bonus on point purchases or 2.17 cents per point. In some cases you may generate significant savings by purchasing points and redeeming them rather than paying the cash rate at a hotel. In IHG’s case if you have the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card you get the 4th night free on rewards bookings which can stretch your miles further.

2. 7-11 fuel stacking codes

Doctor of Credit has a great list of codes you can use to get up to $1.41 off per gallon at 7-11.

3. Hyatt devaluation

Hyatt recently devalued their award chart. Given the inflation in all operating costs since the pandemic, it makes sense that Hyatt would eventually have to devalue. Hyatt remains a great redemption option for Chase or Bilt points, but you now on average get lower value than you have in the past.
