Best Weekly Deals 12/1/25

1. Sofi $805 Checking Account Bonus
$300 from Sofi and $505 in Swagbucks

Details
  • Fees: None
  • Sign-up bonus: $805, $300 from Sofi & $505 in Swagbucks
  • Requirements: One $400 Direct Deposit within 30 days

This is the highest I have ever seen the deal and it requires only a $400 direct deposit once. Sofi is a financial technology (Fintech) company that offers banking, brokerage, and lending. Swagbucks is a shopping portal that sometimes has great bank and fintech bonuses. In order for you to be paid the Swagbucks, you must signup for Sofi through the link above. If you do not have a Swagbucks account please use my referral link and you will get an additional $10 in Swagbucks. Swagbucks are redeemable for gift cards, but you can also redeem it directly to your Paypal account, so it is as good as cash.

My Bank Bonuses 101 article has an explanation on how to change your direct deposit and Doctor of Credit has a great list of what counts as a direct deposit.

2. OKX 5% Deposit Bonus
$150 bonus on $200 deposit and 5% match on up to $5,000

Details

In addition to the $150 sign-up bonus when you deposit $200 I mentioned last week, OKX is now also offering a 5% match up to $250 on deposits up to $5,000. You must hold the deposit for 90 days.

OKX is a crypto exchange like Coinbase or Kraken. It is currently offering a $150 sign-up bonus if you use my link above, deposit $200, make a trade of $200 or more worth of crypto, then maintain the balance for 90 days. It appears as if buying a stable coin like USDG works, but to be safe you can buy $200 of another coin such as Ethereum and then just trade out of it. You can also refer your spouse who will also receive $150 and you will get $200 extra bringing your total to $500 in bonuses ($150X2 + $200) on $400 in deposits!

In general I hate crypto, but this is an easy bonus and you aren’t taking any directional risk. In crypto there is always a risk the exchange itself goes down, but that seems unlikely given OKX’s scale. In the interest of full disclosure OKX is huge outside of the US, but has had anti-money laundering regulatory issues here. It is in the process of doing an IPO and has undergone more regulation. Learn more about it here. Given the total amount being risked is $200 to make $150 plus any referral bonuses you rack up, I think it is worth the miniscule risk the exchange goes under.

3. Youtube Children Class Action
Up to $60 from Youtube

Details

If you have a child that watched YouTube between July 1, 2013 and April 1, 2020 then you are eligible for this class action settlement against YouTube. Follow the link above, click “file a claim” and fill out the claim form. Alternatively you can sign up for Sparrow, a paid subscription that automatically pulls up all relevant class actions and has easy to use forms to file your claims.

People have varying opinions on class actions, but its hard to argue that YouTube was a good steward of children’s content. I recall my older daughter all of a sudden getting bizarre inappropriate content being served to her, so I really don’t mind YouTube paying something in recompense even if its for a slightly different reason.

4. Use Chase’s Monthly Instacart  Credits or Donate Them
$10/20 in Instacart credit a month to use or donate

Details

The Chase cards below give card holders $10 or $20 credits for Instacart every month. If you frequently use Instacart this can add up over time. Several Chase cards also give you free Instacart Plus. Unfortunately you cannot combine the credits, you have to use them separately for each order.  To use the credits follow the instructions below to load your card, then add items to your cart. When you go to checkout you should see -$10.00 or -$20.00 in the upper right hand corner where your bill is itemized.

If you don’t use Instacart frequently you shouldn’t let the credits go to waste. Instacart allows you to donate food directly to a foodbank. The process isn’t automated rather you have to add individual items that the foodbank has requested and go through the checkout process. The discount should show up in the upper right just as it does for a normal order. You can try to get your order as close to $10 or $20 as possible so you are not out of pocket. Usually you still tip a few bucks so it may not be entirely costless, but you are basically spending $2-3 on tip to give the food bank 3-10x as many dollars in food.
